Hey all,
So Ive gained a few pounds over the cooler months and I was watching TV the other day and saw a doco on female body builders.
Instantly I was captivated...I mean the bodies these women developed were intense! The dedication they all had was inspiring! The diet they were on was...OK I guess (but easy to prepare no doubt).
So after watching I told my boyfriend Tiki "I am going on a diet". I was in the zone. I was totally ready.
Ive successfully been on diets before and lost weight and to tell the absolute truth, Im not even fat but watching the female body builders made me want those killer abs. Apparently abs are made in the kitchen? Good enough for me! So I scour the internet (my bit on the side...lmao) for easy and tasty meal plans, and I found one I was happy with. It sets out six small meals a day and consists mostly of proteins. I was like, I could totally do this...like I said I was in the zone.
The next morning I went to the supermarket. I had decided that I would eat at 3 hourly intervals starting at 8am and finishing no longer than 9pm. Also I devised my own cardio workout plan. Geez Louise let me just tell you, I am way outta shape.
Okay, so the first day was fine and I coped rather well. BUT....
I hate BUT's...
I had bought alot of junk food the night before I had seen the doco on female body builders...and it was just sitting there calling my name..."Rella, Rella...come eat me, you know you want to...". How can I resist? Well thats an easy one to answer: I cant. Period. Focus I have, discipline I do not.
I thought to myself, "Self, just have a little bite and work it off later". Yeah, RIGHT. Apparently I have no actual measurement of "a little bite" because before I knew it the packet was half full! Awww man!!
To cut a longer-than-necessary story short, I have shitloads of "dietey" food in the cupboards and fridge that will probably end up in the garbage or in some kind of jumbly tuna surprise.
Aaargh! Oh well, life goes on...and no doubt there will be another easy-peasy diet fad that will catch my attention.
