Taking advantage...

Taking Advantage...hmmm....sounds bad enough, but try being on the receiving end.

For a few years now I have been helping my partner take care of his Grandmother.  Which I don't mind, that's just in my nature.  Im caring and considerate and I like to nurture people and things (like plants, animals.) and OK I'll admit it first that AT TIMES I can be shallow and self absorbed. But rarely do I ever feel taken advantage of, until now.

It started a few days ago after Christmas day.  I had been driving "Grandma" around everyday back and forth, here and there and not complaining once and never receiving a Thank You - NOT EVEN ONCE!  Also she has this thing where once she is in front of people she knows she will order me around like a servant. So all Christmas I had to hear her talk down to me like a was lower class or the hired help.  I mean I do this out of the goodness of my heart and to help Tiki out because I LOVE him so much. No-one pays me.
It was the last straw on boxing day.  She got all dressed up and waited for me to take her wherever it was she was going.  But Tiki and I had made plans, as all young couples do.  And so I walked out into the Lounge area and she goes "Take me to the singing...".  I was like "You never told me..." and so she goes all quiet.  So I went to tell Tiki we have to delay OUR plans because SHE wants me to take her somewhere.  He was not happy.  He went out to talk to her and tell her if she wants to be taken somewhere she could at least let us know before she's ready to go because we had plans to go visit friends and family and now we can't.
Well lets just say that this didn't go well and she got really angry.  I went to her and asked what time her singing was and she totally ignored me.  I told her I never said I wasn't going to take her but she just looked out the window and ignored me some more.  She thinks I'm the one who is missing out?  I'm fine with that actually.  This now means I won't hear my name being called EVERY FIVE MINUTES! I'm being honest here.

I feel like she totally blew everything out of proportion and is suffering because of it.  And its not like I don't want to help her, but I'm tired of being treated so badly when I do so much.

So now I have quit looking after her.  I quit driving her around. I quit helping her change her nappy. I QUIT!

And now we are looking for a place of our own because she obviously doesn't want ME here and Tiki won't stay here on his own.  But its about time we broke free from this life and started our own.  I'm really excited!

Wish us LUCK!

Paranormal Activity

Has anyone seen "Paranormal Activity"?

Talk about such a freaky movie...I wouldn't say it was scary though...definately freak-invoking.  I watched it with my niece Sala...it was kind of like watching a funny horror film.  We almost laughed through the whole thing.

I guess if you are easily scared then maybe, just maybe you will jump at the the things that go bump in the night...but apparently we are not so easily scared!

I found it be so very intriguing that we ended up googling "Katie & Micah" just to see if it was a real story or not...turns out...(WARNING!! ....  SPOILER ALERT!!!) its not.

I liked it though and if you're anything like me and you like being scared or like the thrill of being scared then I suggest you watch it because it was enough to give us goose-bumps!!

So tell me my dedicated followers...Have you seen "Paranormal Activity"? and let ME know what you think.
